- Oahu DKatie with Aloha K9 is my absolute go-to for all things service dog training related, and is also a wonderful resource for puppy training. I'm another local (pet) dog trainer that owns my own business, and send all service dog requests to her - this is not something I would do with just anyone - as I take referrals very seriously since customers are trusting my opinion. Overall, Katie is a very competent, knowledgable trainer and I value her as a friend and colleague that I can call to consult with. 10/10 recommend!
- Kiah MKatie is wonderful. She works with us to temperament test our litters, and does so in such a thorough and organized way, that it made placements of our pups a breeze. To have a trainer with a progressive mindset, that networks with breeders in addition to helping pet owners, is invaluable. Hawaii has a notoriously limited offering of well-bred, ethically raised dogs. Most individuals who produce puppies here have little to no knowledge of their breed, what it should look like, and how selective breeding over generations should have coded a predictable set of traits and tendencies into each individual dog's DNA. This type of educated, thoughtful, and intentional breeding is not just for status or prestige, but for preservation of these breeds and history of the tasks people needed them to perform.
